Andaman & Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences

The Andaman & Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences, Port Blair, is a Government College established in the Year 2015, The college is recognized by Govt. of India and the National Medical Commission (NMC) is Affiliated to Pondicherry University, located in Andaman Nicobar Islands with an annual intake of 100 seats. Andaman & Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences (ANIIMS) is a premier medical institute established by Andaman & Nicobar Medical Education and Research Society under Andaman & Nicobar Administration. The departments, classrooms, library, and laboratories are housed in airy, bright, and well-ventilated buildings. The Central Library has been set up in a double-storey building near the Administrative Block of the Medical College. There are five lecture halls equipped with all modern teaching audio-visual aids including Interactive boards, besides an examination hall with a seating capacity of 250 candidates. Andaman & Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences provides Hostel facilities for Boys Hostels & Girls Hostels. These hostels cater to the needs of Medical Undergraduate and also Interns. The Netaji Subhash Sports Complex with a sprawling campus consisting of a state of the art gymnasium, swimming pool, playgrounds, an indoor stadium for billiards, badminton, table tennis, lawn tennis and a velodrome has been made available for the students and faculty of ANIIMS.
