Bhojia Dental College & Hospital is a private medical college established in the year 1999. The College is affiliated to the Atal Medical & Research University/ Himachal Pradesh University (Govt.) and recognized by Dental Council of India and Govt of India. Bhojia Dental College & Hospital is situated in the foothills of Kasauli range on a sprawling campus spreading over more than 8 acres of land at village Budh (Near Baddi), a biggest Industrial Town of Himachal Pradesh having more than 1000 big / small industries on Chandigarh-Nalagarh (National Highway 21-A) connecting at Pinjore with nearest Railway Station at Kalka. Admission Process

MDS (Master Degree in Dental Sciences ) Counseling is conducted by Atal Medical and Research University (State Domicile)

The Department of Medical Education will conduct Centralized/Common Counseling for filling 50% of State Quota PG (MDS) Degree seats in H.P. Govt. Dental College & Hospital Shimla, along with 50% State Quota and 50% Management Quota seats in private un-aided Dental Colleges of the State. The H.P. state merit list will be formulated by the Controller of Examinations, Atal Medical and Research University, who also serves as the Member Secretary of the Counseling Committee. This list will be based on NEET MDS scores and applications submitted within the stipulated deadline mentioned in the Prospectus for the academic session.

Currently, there is one Government Dental College in Shimla and three Private un-aided Dental Colleges in the State, all offering Postgraduate courses (MDS) approved/recognized by the Dental Council of India and affiliated with Atal Medical and Research University (AMRU).

Eligibility And Selection Criteria:-

ELIGIBILITY FOR DIRECT CANDIDATES: The terms &conditions for Direct Candidates will be as follows:-

"Applicants must have successfully cleared the NEET-MDS examination to be eligible to apply online for admission to MDS courses through Centralized/Common Counseling. This process pertains to securing admission in both Government and Private un-aided Dental Colleges located in Himachal Pradesh."
Graduates (BDS) of Govt. and Private Dental Colleges of the Himachal Pradesh (i.e. H.P. Govt. Dental College& Hospital, Shimla/Himachal Dental College, Sundernagar, Distt.Mandi /Bhojia Dental College & Hospital, Baddi Distt. Solan/ MN,DAV Dental College, Tatul, Distt. Solan and Himachal Institute of Dental Sciences, Paonta Sahib,Distt. Sirmour)
Bonafide Himachalis who have done BDS from any institute recognized by DCI.
Children/Spouse of H.P. Government employees /employees of Autonomous Bodies wholly or partially financed by H.P. Government getting admission to BDS course, through CBSE/NEET or any other All India entrance Examination Dental Colleges in India recognized G.O.I /DCI

FOR 50% MANAGEMENT QUOTA SEATS(Only in Pvt. Dental Colleges )

The 50% Management Quota MDS seats in Pvt. Un-aided Dental College of the State of H.P. shall be filled up from the qualified candidates of NEET-MDS, 2024 in order of meritcum-preference of specialty and college. Any interested candidate can apply for admission to the MDS Degree Course subject to fulfillment of qualification and other terms and condition as prescribed in the Prospectus. There is no condition of Bonafide Himachali/ Graduate (BDS) from institutes situated in H.P.to apply under this quota seats.

Eligibility for Foreign Nationals: - Foreign nationals seeking admission to private un-aided Dental Colleges of the State must secure Management quota seats based on merit and preference of specialty and college. However, as per clause 4.9.2 of the NEET-MDS Prospectus, they must possess temporary registration from the Dental Council of India during admission; otherwise, admission cannot be granted. Furthermore, it is the responsibility of the college to verify the candidate's antecedents with the relevant government authorities.

CANDIDATES SEEKING ADMISSION SHALL: -

Possess a BDS degree from Himachal Pradesh University or any other university recognized by the Dental Council of India, as outlined in clause 3.1(b)(i), (ii), and (iii) (C) above. Completion of the compulsory rotatory internship by June 30, 2023, as notified by DGHS/MCC New Delhi, is mandatory.

Candidate must be registered with either Dental Council of India or any of the State Dental Council in India at the time of 1 st round of common counselling.

Candidates with foreign qualifications (BDS degree) must upload certificates demonstrating successful completion of DCI examinations and recognition by DCI when applying for Common/Centralized Counselling. Additionally, registration must be renewed and valid at the time of application.

Admission will be conducted through a centralized/Common Counseling committee, based on merit determined by the Counseling Committee from among the qualified NEET-MDS-2023 candidates who have successfully submitted their online application forms along with the required fee within the stipulated period.

Candidates who do not fulfill the eligibility criteria as prescribed for State Quota Seats, will be considered only for Management Quota seats in private un-aided Dental Colleges.

"Individuals currently enrolled in an MDS program, regardless of their location, will not be eligible for admission to the MDS course for the academic session 2024-25."

In the event that eligible candidates within a particular reservation category are not available and seats remain unfilled, those vacancies will be converted into other categories, provided there are candidates available during the 2nd and subsequent rounds of Centralized/Common Counseling.:-

The vacant/unfilled seats of SC category shall be filled up amongst the eligible ST category candidates.
The vacant/unfilled seats of ST category shall be filled up from amongst the eligible SC category candidates
In case the eligible candidate are not available in the above two reserved categories in the above manner, the vacant seats shall then be filled up from amongst the eligible unreserved candidates
The vacant seats /unfilled seat of Persons with Disability shall be filledup from General category candidates
The candidature of SC/ST categories belonging to other state (NonHP) will only be considered for general category by virtue of their general combined merit for allocation of State Quota seats in Govt./private Dental Colleges of the State
As per 40-point roster there is no specific point earmark for OBC, hence the OBC candidates will be considered in General Category as per General combined merit.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING UP ONLINE APPLICATION FORM:-

Before proceeding further on the website www.amruhp.ac.in, candidates are required to download the prospectus and a replica of the ONLINE application form to thoroughly review the eligibility criteria and other necessary requirements for the submission of the online application form.

Before proceeding to apply online, please ensure that you have:

Scanned copy of candidate‟s recent photograph with following specifications.
Photograph should be in formal.
Photograph must be a passport size colour picture having maximum size of100 KB (width:135 pixels x height: 175 pixels) with white background
Photograph must be taken in full face view directly facing the camera.
Photograph should have no shadows and red eyes.
Photo format should be .jpg or .jpeg only

Scanned copy of candidate‟s signature with following specifications.

Applicant should sign with black ink on a white paper and get the signature scanned.
The signature must be of the applicant and not of any other person.
Maximum size 100 KB (width:135 pixels x height: 65 pixels)
Scanned signature format should be jpg or jpeg only

Upload documents with following specifications

Ensure that all details match exactly with your NEET PG 2023 application. After entering your email ID, click on the "Verify Email" button to confirm your email address. Don't forget to insert the captcha code to complete your registration.

Use your authenticated Mobile Number & e-mail ID for the registration. Due to onetime registration, candidate must retain the system generated credentials for future login.

Photograph should be taken on or after 1 st July 2024 upto the size of 40kb.:- "Please ensure the photograph adheres to the following guidelines: 80% face coverage with ears clearly visible, on a white background. Spectacles are permitted only if regularly worn. No caps or goggles should be worn. Additionally, the candidate must provide their full signature in running handwriting on white paper using a blue or black ink pen, scanning it for upload in JPEG/JPG format, with a file size not exceeding 20 KB. Both the photo and signature must be clear and visible, as they will be utilized by the university for future documentation after admission."
