The Govt. Dental College, RIMS, Kadapa, is a Govt college Established in the year of 2008. The College is affiliated to the Dr.Y.S.R University Of Health Sciences (Earlier Called DRNTRUHS) and recognized by Dental Council of India and Govt of India with the annual intake of 100 seats in BDS and 25 seats in various streams of Postgraduate Dental Sciences.
The Dental college is located in a constructed area of 143107.42 sq.ft and with an open area of 170524.58 sqft. The college provides good infrastructure to provide Dental Education to students with dedicated faculty around. Currently the college is equipped with 245 Dental chairs and has well maintained laboratory with all the latest equipment as well. There are spacious classrooms and seminar halls and an auditorium. The campus houses well ventilated spacious hostels for girls and boys separately. It is attached with the Government General Hospital for clinical practice.

The MCC (Medical Counselling Committee)/DGHS conducts Counseling for allotment of Post Graduate (MD/MS/Diploma and MDS) seats to the NEETPG/MDS eligible and qualified candidates in participating Government Medical/Dental Colleges of the country under 50% All India Quota and 100% Central & Deemed University quota every year. All the candidates who have qualified for All India Quota seats on the basis of their rank in NEET PG /MDS conducted by NBE including candidates from Union Territory of J&K will be eligible. The role of MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) of DGHS is limited to allotment of seats to the participating candidates, as per their merit and choice, which starts only after receiving the list/data/Information of successful candidates from National Board of Examinations (NBE) i.e. the NEET (MDS) examination conducting body
There will be four rounds of AIQ counseling i.e. Round 1, Round 2, AIQ Mop-up Rounds and AIQ Stray Vacancy Round (SLA(C) No. 10487 of 2021 before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India). All candidates who have qualified for All India Quota seats on the basis of their rank in NEET MDS conducted by the National Board of Examination (NBE) will be eligible for participation in the counselling process. Admission to 85% of the seats shall be reserved in favour of the local candidates in relation to the local area as provided in A.P. Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) order, 1974 for Non- State-Wide courses as given in Annexure-III of GO (P) No. 646, Edu. (W1) Department, dt.10-7-1979.
The reservation of 10% in favour of Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) in admissions will be implemented if seats are sanctioned for EWS Quota by Govt. of India / Medical Council of India for the academic year 2020-21.

The Registration & Processing fee including 18% GST : For OC & BC Candidates – Rs.7,080/- (Rupees Seven thousand and eighty only) (Registration fee Rs. 3,500/- + 18% GST & Processing fee Rs.2,500/- + 18% GST). For SC & ST Candidates – Rs.5,900/- (Rupees Five thousand and Nine hundred only) (Registration fee Rs. 3,000/- + 18% GST & Processing fee Rs.2,000/- + 18% GST).
