NEELIMA INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES was established in 2023 in Medchal–Malkajgiri district, Telangana, with the aim of creating a modern center for medical education, research, and patient care. Located at Pocharam near Hyderabad, the institute is part of the School of Medical Sciences under Anurag University and has quickly emerged as one of the newest private medical colleges in the state.The college is affiliated with Anurag University and is approved by the National Medical Commission. Admissions and counseling are conducted through Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Warangal. The institute currently offers the MBBS program with an annual intake of 150 students and follows the competency-based medical education curriculum prescribed by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

The attached teaching hospital for the institute is Neelima Hospitals, located in Ghatkesar. The hospital serves as the primary clinical training center for students and provides multi-specialty healthcare services to patients from Medchal, Hyderabad, and surrounding regions. It has approximately 500 teaching beds and offers treatment in general medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, ENT, ophthalmology, dermatology, emergency medicine, and other specialties. The hospital is equipped with intensive care units, emergency and trauma services, operation theatres, blood bank, diagnostic laboratories, radiology, and 24-hour patient care facilities. The large patient inflow gives students extensive hands-on experience through ward postings, outpatient departments, surgeries, emergency care, and rural health outreach activities.

Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences is Conducting Counselling for all Government and Private Colleges in Telangana.

The KNRUHS conduct the separate counselling for state Government Medical and State management quota seats. The counselling will be organized through online mode in which candidates have to exercise their web options.

RESERVATION IN FAVOUR OF THE LOCAL CANDIDATES

Admission to 85% of the seats shall be reserved in favour of the local candidates in relation to the local area as provided in A.P. Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) order, 1974 for Non- State-Wide courses as given in Annexure-III of GO (P) No. 646, Edu. (W1) Department, dt.10-7-1979.

RESERVATIONS:

• 15%, 6%, 29% seats of Post Graduate Dental Degree MDS Courses are reserved for SC, ST and BC (BC-A-7%, BC-B-10%, BC-C-1%, BC- D-7% and BC-E4%) candidates respectively, which are called vertical reservations.
• 33 1/3% of seats shall be reserved for women and 5%seats shall be reserved for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates respectively, which are horizontal reservations for Post Graduate Degree Courses.
