The North Delhi Muncipal Corporation Medical College, Delhi is amongst the three Medical Colleges being operated in India by the Municipal Corporations. This Government College was established in the Year 2013 and was started on the Hindu Rao Hospital Premises. The College has been approved by Central Government, Ministry Of Health & Family Welfare, affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, located in Delhi and recognized by Govt. of India and the National Medical Commission (NMC). It has an annual intake of 60 seats in MBBS and 2 seats in 1 discipline of Post-Graduate studies.
The campus is surrounded by many important landmarks. The College is located above the Hospital building and have decent infrastructure. Two air-conditioned eighty seater Lecture theatres and Auditorium of 350 capacity, all fitted with audio visual systems are created in M N Passi Block while Central library & auditorium is on V and VII floors of G- Block. All pre-clinical departments (Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry) and few of para-clinical departments (Microbiology, Pharmacology, Community Medicine) have been created while all other departments (para-clinical and clinical) have been significantly upgraded. Dean’s Office, administrative, academic & examination section along with secretarial staff are located in Dean’s Office block. Presently there are 74 faculty members and 49 residents employed in different disciplines in Medical College.
North DMC Medical College & HRH is a residential campus and provides quarters for the staff of Hindu Rao Hospital, paramedical staff and hostels for students. The separate hostels for MBBS Girls, Boys and residents are available. The new six storied Hostel Block is under construction in the premises of HRH to accommodate 100 more students. The large variety of clinical material and emergency cases available at Hindu Rao Hospital makes it an ideal training institute for Undergraduate and Postgraduate medical students.

This is one of the oldest hospital in Delhi tracing back to 1857. The hospital's main building is popularly known as Hindu Rao's House. Presently, Hindu Rao Hospital is the largest multi-specialty hospital, run by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi serving all sections of society. In addition to the free OPD and in- patient services, it also offers reasonably priced facilities of a Nursing Home that has 48 spacious rooms. It has a sanctioned bed strength of 980 which at times need to be supplemented with extra beds to treat patients. It offers a large and well-diversified menu of preventive, promotive and curative services ranging from the blood examination, provision of anti rabies vaccine, to CAT scan, Endoscopy, Haemo-dialysis and YAG LASER photocoagulation. The hospital is reasonably well equipped with modern diagnostic, therapeutic, and residential facilities. The Hospital caters to general and some super-specilaities to treat patients.

The MCC (Medical Counselling Committee)/DGHS conducts Counseling for allotment of Post Graduate (MD/MS/Diploma and MDS) seats to the NEETPG/MDS eligible and qualified candidates in participating Government Medical/Dental Colleges of the country under 50% All India Quota and 100% Central & Deemed University quota every year. All the candidates who have qualified for All India Quota seats on the basis of their rank in NEET PG /MDS conducted by NBE including candidates from Union Territory of J&K will be eligible. The role of MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) of DGHS is limited to allotment of seats to the participating candidates, as per their merit and choice, which starts only after receiving the list/data/Information of successful candidates from National Board of Examinations (NBE) i.e. the NEET (PG) examination conducting body
There will be four rounds of AIQ counseling i.e. Round 1, Round 2, AIQ Mop-up Rounds and AIQ Stray Vacancy Round (SLA(C) No. 10487 of 2021 before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India). All candidates who have qualified for All India Quota seats on the basis of their rank in NEET PG conducted by the National Board of Examination (NBE) will be eligible for participation in the counselling process.
