Sathyabama Dental College and Hospital, was established in 2009, affiliated to Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology (Deemed to be University) is approved by the Dental Council of India, Govt. of India,State govt of Tamil nadu.

Indian Bank branch is present inside the Institution. Both staffs and students can use the bank facilities. Four ATM machines are present in various locations inside the campus for the usage of staffs and students.

Sathyabama Dental College and Hospital

The   Sathyabama Dental College and Hospital has 120+ dental chairs in the Under Graduate and post graduate clinics with good number of 150+ Outpatients reporting to the dental college.

Apart from the regular training offered in various specialties in dentistry such as Orthodontics, Prosthodontics & Implantology, Conservative Dentistry, Paediatric Dentistry, Oral Medicine & Radiology, Periodontics, Oral Pathology & Microbiology Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Public Health Dentistry, high-quality training facilities are available in Craniofacial Surgery and Plastic Surgery for trainees in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. A great deal of emphasis is placed on community-oriented dental outreach programs.

Sathyabama Dental College and Hospital, had various memorandum of understanding for conducting camps and establishing peripheral centres  with the Greater Chennai Corporation at many Urban Public Health Centers in Chennai

Central Library

Central Library is the hub for information services in the institution and serves as a major learning and resource centre. It is located in a separate building comprising two storey, ground and first floor. It has a spacious area of 13950 Sq. mt / 1,50,156 sq. ft that exudes peaceful learning environment.

Hostel | Sports Facilities

Boys and Girls are provided separate hostel. Both AC and Non AC Accommodation are available. 24X7 services such as Medical room, ATMs, Emergency Vehicles, and other facilities such as Computer lab, general Stores, Fitness studio, mess, dining halls. Cafeteria, Beauty spa are available within the campus..

Sports facilities available in the campus include play courts, playgrounds for Volleyball, Basketball, Kabadi, Ball badminton, Tennis, Hand ball, Foot ball, Hockey, Kho-kho, Cricket and other outdoor games. Facilities for indoor games like chess, carom and table tennis are also available.

    Sathyabama Dental College and Hospital,MDS (Master Degrees in Dental Sciences ) Counseling is conducted by MCC (Medical Counselling Committee)

    MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) COUNSELING PROCESS:-

    The MCC/DGHS conducts Counseling for allotment of Post Graduate (MD/MS/Diploma and MDS) seats to the NEETPG/MDS eligible and qualified candidates in participating Government Medical/Dental Colleges of the country under 50% All India Quota and 100% Central & Deemed University quota every year. All the candidates who have qualified for All India Quota seats on the basis of their rank in NEET PG /MDS conducted by NBE including candidates from Union Territory of J&K will be eligible. The role of MCC of DGHS is limited to allotment of seats to the participating candidates, as per their merit and choice, which starts only after receiving the list/data/Information of successful candidates from National Board of Examinations (NBE) i.e. the NEET (MDS) examination conducting body 

    Candidates who fall under the category of NRI as per the directions/ orders of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in the case (W.P. No. 689/2017- Consortium of Deemed Universities in Karnataka (CODEUNIK) & Anr. Vs. Union of India &Ors.) dated 22-08- 2017 are eligible for NRI Category seats. OCI/PIO/Foreign Nationals will be eligible for only NRI seats .The eligible Indian National Candidates wanting to get converted to sponsored NRI category have to submit the  documents as and when the same are called for by the MCC.

    Step Wise Counseling Process conducted by MCC

                   There are four rounds of counselling i.e. Round 1, Round 2, Mop- Up Round & Stray Vacancy Round. Out of the four rounds for Deemed Universities, 03 rounds are conducted online by MCC i.e. Round 1, Round 2 and Mop-Up Round. The Stray Vacancy round is conducted physically by the Deemed Universities for which the list of registered & eligible Candidates is forwarded by MCC to the respective Deemed Universities. The allotment shall only be in terms of merit

    1. “Satisfied with the allotted seat and candidate is willing to report to the allotted college, not interested in further allotment of seats in any subsequent round for any discipline”.
    2. The candidate is satisfied with the allotted seat but wishes to participate in the next round. Such candidates should pay the prescribed fees
    3. The candidate is not satisfied with the present allotment and wishes to participate in the next round of counselling. The previously allotted seat is forfeited and offered to the next eligible candidate
    4. Not satisfied with MCC allotted seat and candidate has got seat elsewhere, so candidate is quitting and not to be considered for allotment of seats in any of the further rounds

    2nd Round :- (AIQ, Deemed University, Central University/Institutes, DNB)

    Fresh Registration for Mop-up Round (not required for earlier resigned candidates)

    • Notification for counseling process
    • NRI application with appropriate documents to be mailed for opening NRI portal ([email protected])
    • Registration fee varies as per the Filling of application form for-AIQ, Deemed, CU, DU, Central Institutes, AFMS
    • Seat matrix display

    • If Allotted (No Free Exit)(Exit With Forfeiture of Fees )(No Upgradation For Next Round)

    • There will be no Fresh Registration of Candidates in Final Stray Vacancy Round.
    • There will be no choice filling in Stray Vacancy Round. The choices filled during Mop-Up round will be considered for allotment in Stray Vacancy Round.
    • Allotment of seats ‘Online’ by running software
    • Eligible candidates who are not holding any seat can participate in Stray Vacancy Round

    Stray vacancies:- (Deemed University)

    • Final Stray Vacancy Round to be conducted by Deemed/ Central Universities (There will be no Fresh Registration of Candidates in Final Stray Vacancy Round)
    • List of ten times (of the registered candidates) of number of Stray vacancies to be sent to Deemed / Central Universities to be exhausted strictly in order of merit.
    • For Deemed Universities the Stray Vacancy Round will be conducted by the respective Deemed University
    • Eligible candidates who are not holding any seat can participate in Stray Vacancy Round
