Faculty of Dental Sciences The S.G.T. Dental College, Hospital & Research Institute, established in 2002, became the Faculty of Dental Sciences with the advent of the SGT University from the academic session 2013-14.The Faculty of Dental Sciences offers undergraduate (B.D.S.), postgraduate (M.D.S. in nine specialities) and Ph.D. programmes in all branches of dental sciences. Faculty of Dental Sciences has two Centres of Excellence namely, SGT Centre for Microscopy Enhanced Dentistry and SGT Centre for 3 D Maxillofacial Imaging (CBCT). Lasers and Implants are the need of the hour and therefore, the institute has special DIODE units. The institute is also equipped with a state-of-the- art CBCT Machine for advanced diagnostic needs.

SGT UNIVERSITY MDS ADMISSION PROCESS (2024-25)

Admission Basis

Admission to MDS courses at SGT University, Budhera, Gurugram, is done through:

Combined centralized online counseling conducted by Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak.

Based on NEET MDS 2024 merit.

Registration

All candidates must register online through the authorized admission web portal.

Seat Distribution

Private Institutions (including SGT University):

50% State Quota (Open Merit) seats.

50% Management Quota seats.

15% of management seats are reserved for NRI/PIO/OCI/Foreign Nationals, filled strictly based on NEET MDS 2024 merit.

Eligibility Criteria

Indian citizens (for state and management quota).

NEET MDS 2024 qualified.

BDS degree from a DCI-recognized institution.

Completion of a one-year rotatory internship.

Registration with any State Dental Council/DCI.

Haryana domicile is required only for state quota; management quota is open to candidates from all over India.

NRI category: Only NEET-qualified NRI/PIO/OCI/foreign nationals can apply, with preference given to Haryana-origin candidates.

Counseling Process

Candidates fill in their choices (specialty, college) on the online portal.

Seat allotment is done based on NEET MDS 2024 merit and filled preferences.

Provisional allotments require physical verification of original documents at Pt. B.D. Sharma University, Rohtak.

Payment of fees is made to the university, which transfers it to SGT University.

Rounds of Counseling

Multiple rounds (first, second, mop-up).

Fresh registration is allowed in the second round.

For government seats only: deposit ₹25,000 (₹12,500 for reserved).

For government + private seats: deposit ₹2 lakh (adjustable or refundable).

Any vacant seats after regular rounds are filled as per government and DCI/MoHFW rules.

Bond & Penalty

If a candidate leaves the course after three days prior to the final admission deadline:

Debarred for 3 years from Haryana PG admissions.

Must pay ₹10 lakh bond money.

Must pay full fee for the current year + 50% of the next year.

NRI Admission Process

NEET-qualified NRIs, PIOs, OCIs, foreign nationals eligible.

Preference given first to Haryana-origin candidates.

Bank guarantee or surety bond required if paying fees in installments.
