BGS Global Institute of Medical Sciences

BGS Global Institute of Medical Sciences is one of the constituent institution run by the Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust (Regd.) which was started in the year 1973 with the objective of rendering social, charitable, educational and medical services blended with spiritualism to the people of Karnataka, India and the NRI community across the world under the stewardship of the pontiff of Sri Adichunchanagiri Math Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Balagandadarnatha Maha Swamiji. The Trust is currently running over 400 educational and charitable institutions including three Engineering colleges, the prestigious Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) and the associated hospital Adichunchanagiri Hospital and Research Centre (AH&RC), and the newly established BGS Global Institute of Medical Sciences. The BGS Medical College was established in the year 2013 and is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences- RGUHS, Karnataka and recognized by National Medical Commission (NMC). The college has an annual intake of 150 MBBS seats and 57 seats in 16 Departments of Post-Graduation studies It is well-connected by Road, Rail and Aerial routes and is situated in Bangalore.

The Medical College is located in a sprawling spacious area with an architecturally designed College constructed in an area surrounded by Green cover. Academic facilities includes spacious Air-conditioned classrooms, Lecture theatres with250 seating capacity, Examination Halls, Demo rooms with Technology driven space. Skill Labs, Museums, Auditorium and Computer labs for students. There are 07 Hi-Tech modern Laboratories & State of the art Departmental museums are in place. Gymnasium, Sports and Recreational corner for UG and PG students. Well-structured Library spread in over 3200 Sq.Mt with huge collection of books and Journals and E-Library. Separate Hostel facilities for Boys and Girls within the campus. The canteen is spread in a huge area serving multicultural food.

The BGS Teaching Hospital

The Teaching Hospital is around 350+ bedded with all the modern facilities to provide healthcare facilities to people. There is a decent inflow of patients everyday. The Hospital is equipped with the modern technologically advanced medical equipment. The Hospital has good OT's, ICU's, Modernized Laboratories with latest equipment, 24hrs Blood Bank facility, Emergency and Trauma care. The Hospital has OPD's and IP services. It has Pre-Clinical, Para-Clinical and Clinical Facilities. The Hospital's general specialities include General Medicine, General Surgery, OBG, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Radiodiagnosis, ENT, Ophthalmology, Anaesthesiology, Pathology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Forensic Medicine.

KEA – Karnataka Examination Authority conducts counseling for Government Medical College (50% seats and another 50% will be conducted by MCC), 100% seat allotment in Private Universities & Private Medical College ( includes Non-Minority, linguistic minority, and religious minority institutions), by KEA.

• In 2022, the institutional mop-up round of counseling will fill the vacant seats or remain unfilled seats after a mop-up round of KEA counseling. This round is conducted by colleges to fill the left-over seats. A list of the registered candidates' names for stray vacancies will be sent to private colleges to be exhausted strictly in order of merit.
