The East Point College of Medical Sciences & Research Centre, is located in Bangalore and was established in the year 2017 to provide Health Care facilities for people. It is run by M G Charitable Trust which under the guidance of Late. Dr.S.M.Vankatapathi. The East Point group of Institutions is operational since 1997 with many other constituent educational establishments. The Medical college is Affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences- RGUHS, Karnataka and recognized by National Medical Commission (NMC). The college has been permitted to take an annual intake of 150 MMBS seats. It is well-connected by Road, Rail and Aerial routes.

The Medical College and Hospital is located in the sprawling green blanketed 100acres of Jnana Prabha Campus. Well-ventilated and spacious Classrooms, 4 Lecture Theatres with Digital incorporation, Demo rooms, Seminar halls, Examination halls and Auditorium are present in the campus. Modern Clinical Laboratory facilities are in place with all the modern equipment with cutting-edge Research initiatives. Separate Hostels for Boys and Girls, Indoor and Outdoor recreational facilities are in place. The Library space is spread in around 30000sqft space with more than 10,000+ books and subscription of Indian and international Journals with separate Reading rooms and E-Library facility. There is a 600 bedded attached Tertiary Hospital within the campus for the benefit of patients of in and around villages so as to enable students to experience an enriched learning experience. The Hospital run OPD's and IPD's with 24X7 Emergency services. It has OT's to conduct major and minor surgeries and efficient and well-set ICU's. It has the Modern Laboratory with Diagnostic facilities. Blood Bank and Pharmacy facilities are in place. The Hospital's general specialities include General Medicine, General Surgery, OBG, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Radiodiagnosis, ENT, Ophthalmology, Anaesthesiology, Pathology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Forensic Medicine.

“NOTE: People who got allotted in the 1st & 2nd Round are not allowed to participate in the mop-up round." This is the actual rule of KEA, but as per the court case and in favor of students, KEA allowed them to upgrade for the mop-up this 2024-2025 A.Y.

• Fresh registration was permitted from January 15 to 18 due to a reduction in the qualifying percentile for in-service candidates, which was lowered by NBEMS on January 6, 2024

• In 2022, the institutional mop-up round of counseling was conducted to fill any vacant seats remaining after the mop-up round of KEA counseling. This round is carried out by colleges to fill leftover seats. A list of registered candidates for stray vacancies is sent to private colleges, and these vacancies must be filled strictly in order of merit. However, starting in 2023, all remaining seats must be filled solely through online processes.

Stray vacancy round 2:

• Fresh registration was allowed from March 1st to 3rd due to a reduction in the qualifying percentile by up to 5 percent across all categories on 25-02-2024.
