GMERS Medical College Sola, Ahmedabad is an academic institution of repute under the Gujarat Medical Education and Research Society Formed by the Dept. of Health of Family Welfare Govt. of Gujarat. It is a self financed institution managed by the Government of Gujarat which was established in the year 2011. The college is Affiliated to the prestigious university of Gujarat, Gujarat University and recognized by National Medical Commission (NMC) with an annual intake of 200 MBBS seats and 44 seats in 9 disciplines of Postgraduate studies.
GMERS Medical College Sola, Ahmedabad was inaugurated by the Honorable Health Minister of Gujarat in 2009. It is located in a sprawling campus with state of the art infrastructure. There are very good spacious gallery type Lecture halls in the college and in the hospital which accommodates 200 students. There are Examination halls & Demonstration rooms. The Institute is fully equipped with clinical Laboratories, Departmental Museums and Auditorium. Library and information center is located in a huge area with good collection of Medical Books, Indian & Foreign Journals with separate reading space for students & Teaching Staff and a Digital Library. There are facilities for Indoor and Outdoor Games and Sports with volleyball and badminton facilities.
The Teaching Hospital
The attached Civil Hospital Sola was inaugurated in 1986 and started providing general medical care with post partum services. Over the period hospital gradually got sanctioned into different specialties. The General Hospital was the second NABH Accredited Hospital in Gujarat. The hospital plan is basically made up of 5 blocks. In 1986 only Block A was started; B block and E block came up later. In 2009 hospital had 56 sanctioned beds and now it is having 720 beds along with other critical care beds. Overall beds can be increased up to 900 based on the current infrastructure. Hospital has a turnout of 70% of urban-rural patients. At present, hospital has not only got high inflow of patients in OPD but is having bed occupancy of more than 75 %. Location of the hospital and its accessibility has given it a good opportunity to serve the urban-rural population of the surrounding area who cannot afford to avail of the expensive treatment offered by nearby private healthcare organizations in the city. 24X7 emergency and trauma care facility, Eye bank and blood bank facilities are available. There are very good clinical and diagnostic facilities in the Hospital. Specialized Critical Care Units - Casualty - 25 beds, ICCU - 6 beds, PICU/NICU for clean cases 5 beds and for septic cases 5 beds, SICU - 5 beds, MICU - 5 beds, RICU/Isolation ward - 5 beds, Pre-Operative - 10 beds and Post-Operative - 10 Beds. The Hospital has facilities for burn treatment, Critical care services, Pharmacy and Physiotherapy. The Hospital's general specialities include General Medicine, General Surgery, OBG, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Radiodiagnosis, ENT, Ophthalmology, Anaesthesiology, Pathology, Microbiology, Biochemistry & Forensic Medicine.

Admission Committee for Professional Postgraduate Medical Courses (ACPPGMEC) conducts Online Combined Centralized Counselling for all GUJARAT State Government and Private Medical Colleges. In order to participate in the admission process, it is necessary to fill Admission Committee for Professional Postgraduate Medical Courses (ACPPGMEC)MBBS PG Admission Counseling medical application form in the online mode. Candidates who have qualified NEET- PG is eligible for the GUJARAT PG medical admission to the state quota as well as All India Quota seats. ACPPGMEC offers PG medical admission for the 50% seats available in the GUJARAT State Government and 100% Unaided Private Medical Colleges.

Mop-Up Round |
All the candidates who are included in the Merit-list of ACPPGMEC as well as who applied and became eligible for MD/MS/Diploma courses after revised/reduced NEET PG -2020 cut-off can participate in 3rd Online Round, except the candidates, who have secured and joined admission in 50% AIQ/ Deemed/ Central Universities/AFMC (MD/ MS/ Diploma and DNB seats or seats of other state) counseling. |
To participate in the mop-up round, the candidates have to log-in in the website http://medadmgujarat.org/pg/home.aspx using their User-ID and Password to give ONLINE CONSENT |
If admission of candidate is upgraded to new seat, candidate has to take print of allotment order of 3rd Online Round and report to nearby help center to get new admission order. In case, candidate doesn’t report to help center within stipulated time, new allotted admission will get cancelled. Hence in this scenario, candidate does not have admission on any seat. |
