The Jagannath Gupta Institute of Medical Sciences & Hospital, JIMSH Kolkata was established in the Year 2018. The college is recognized by Govt. of India and the National Medical Commission (NMC) and is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences, Kolkata, located in West Bengal with an annual intake of 150 MBBS seats.

The Medical college and Hospital is spread over spacious 24-acre land of serene surroundings, is an ideal atmosphere for the best medical education. Four Air Conditioned Lecture Theatres with a seating capacity of 180 students each. All Lecture Theatres are equipped with world-class audio-visual aids & are under 24 hours CCTV surveillance. All Lecture Classes are recorded & students also have the facility to attend live classes from the hostel in case of any illness with prior permission from the concerned authority. JIMSH consists of a Central Library and 17 Departmental Libraries, which collectively support the teaching, research, and extension programs of the college. Each Department has its own demonstration room with a seating capacity of 75 students each. Each Demonstration Room is equipped with world-class audio-visual aids & is under 24 hours CCTV surveillance. The campus has facilities for outdoor games like Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Basketball, and a 400-meter track for athletics. The indoor sports complex at JIMSH offers provision for indoor games like carom, chess, and others. Separate hostel facilities are available for boys and girls.

Jagannath Gupta Institute of Medical Sciences & Hospital is a tertiary care multi-specialty hospital attached to the College with 350+ bedded and 10 emergency beds,5 Major and 3 Minor Operation Theatres,2 labor rooms. Fully functional out-patient as well as in-patient departments including General Medicine, Obstetrics and Genecology, General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Paediatrics, Pulmonary Medicine, Anesthesia, Dental, Speech & Audiometry and Physiotherapy. Highly advanced intensive care units (ICU, ITU, NICU/PICU, and SICU), which are managed by exceedingly capable doctors who are available round the clock world-class diagnostic laboratory facilities which include Biochemistry, Hematology, Pathology, Serology, and Microbiology. Radiology Department is well equipped with CT scans, X-rays ( Fixed & Mobile), USG, Dexa Scan, Cath Lab & MRI. Super specialty Departments such as Cardiology, Neurology, Nephrology & Gastroenterology is also available. The hospital also houses a Blood Bank with a component separation facility.
