The Khaja Bandanawaz Institute of Medical Sciences (KBNIMS) is a Muslim minority institution which was started in 2000. The Khaja Bandanawaz University - Faculty of Medical Sciences, Gulbarga is run by a Trust established in the Year 2000 and Affiliated to Khaja Bandanawaz (Private) University, located in Kalburgi (Gulbarga), Karnataka with the annual intake of 100 MBBS seats and 32 seats in 16 disciplines of Post-Graduate studies. It is well-connected by Road and Rail routes and the bordering states being Maharashtra and Telangana. The Khaja Education Society which was started in the year 1958, today has more than 15 institutions running under its umbrella.

The College is spread in a huge area with good infrastructure. There are good Classrooms, Lecture halls, Demonstration halls. The well-equipped, modernized, and latest Technology-driven equipment make the Laboratory unique. There are separate hostel facilities for Boys, Girls with good accommodation. There is a huge Auditorium and Seminar Hall, Indoor and Outdoor Games and Sports facilities with outdoor stadiums. The Central Library is spread over a huge area with over 14,000+ books and a god collection of India and Foreign Journals with Digital Libraray facility. Apart from the central library every department maintains its own departmental library facility for their staff and PG students. Khaja Bandanawaz Teaching & General Hospital

A multi-speciality 500 bed hospital situated in the heart of the City with all the mordern amenities and emergency services including free treatment for poor. Regularly free checkup camps are arranged for the poor and needy people which come from distant places including neighbouring states.The Hospital also provides free inpatient treatment including free medicine for the patients. It has Pre-Clinical, Para-Clinical and Clinical Departments. 24X7 Emergency and Trauma care with Blood bank facility. There are well-equipped Clinical and Diagnostic Laboratories. Over a period of time, it has developed into a totally integrated 500 bed hospital with state-of-the-art medical departments, Paediatrics, TB & Chest, Skin & STD, Psychiatry, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Opthalmology, ENT, Gynaecology, Dentistry and Radiology on the clinical side and Anatomy, Physiology, Bio-chemistry, Community Medicine, Forensic Medicine, Pathology, Pharmacology & Microbiology on non & para-clinical side. It has equipped ICC, ICCU, NICU, MICU, SICU, PICU units among the others, with 10 (ten) Operation Theatres. • In 2022, the institutional mop-up round of counseling will fill the vacant seats or remain unfilled seats after a mop-up round of KEA counseling. This round is conducted by colleges to fill the left-over seats. A list of the registered candidates' names for stray vacancies will be sent to private colleges to be exhausted strictly in order of merit.
