Maharishi Markandeshwar Institute Of Medical Sciences & Research, Mullana is established in the Year 2007. The campus houses a medical college with 150 MBBS annual admissions and  Post Graduate Courses in 21 departments in  Super-specialties Courses in 4 departments. The college is recognized by Govt. of India and the National Medical Commission (NMC)  and is affiliated with the Maharishi Marakandeshwar University (Deemed), Ambala. MM(DU) is NAAC Accredited with GRADE ‘A’ .  The campus of the M.M. Medical College & Hospital with Maharishi Markandeshwar University spread over an area of 47 acres is ideally located with exotic surroundings of green hills on Chandigarh-Shimla National Highway of Kumarhatti-Solan bye-pass at Kumarhatti-Solan (H.P) in the lap of the 'Devbhoomi' of great Himalayan. The University has been established as a Multi faculty University in the name of the Maharishi MarkandeshwarJi, a great disciple of Lord Shiva. The college situated 36 km from Ambala at Mullana in Haryana state in India. Maharishi Markandeshwar Medical College seeks to be a centre of excellence in medical education, research, and healthcare services at the national and international level.

There are five lecture halls  (4 lecturer halls with 200 seating capacity gallery type, one with 350 seating, and one in hospital with 200 seating capacity ) equipped with all modern teaching audio-visual aids including Interactive boards, besides a 2 examination hall with a seating capacity of 250 candidates each. The Central Library has a good collection of books and journals. There are spacious reading rooms with separate reading areas for faculty and students and a computer section with an internet facility. E-Library facility is also available. The college has a fully air-conditioned library with an internet facility for the students. The College has separate hostels for girls and boys with round-the-clock security arrangements, each hostel has separate dining rooms, recreation rooms, and study rooms. The campus includes 14 hostels and six residential blocks. It has a sports complex with seven gyms, a swimming pool, and one game arena. The campus has two shopping centers with four banks, a post office, and various eating shops. Also on campus, there is an auditorium with a seating capacity of about 1500.

MM Institute of Medical Sciences and Research hospital is 940 bedded hospital having 30 units of different clinical departments. Fully equipped state-of-the-art 14 major & 7 minor operation theatres. All OTs’ are well equipped with modern gadgets & having state of art facilities. Clinical board’s general specialties viz. Medicine, Surgery, OBG, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Pulmonology, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Anaesthesiology and Radiology, and three paraclinical departments viz. Pathology, Microbiology, and Biochemistry are working in the  Hospital. All laboratories are equipped with the latest equipments and machinery. Diagnostic facilities like C.T. Scan, Radio-Therapy, and fully-equipped laboratory facilities with Pathology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Histopathology labs, and a full-fledged Blood Bank is functioning 24 hours in the hospital. 

Supers-specialty services: 

a) Cardiology: Cardiology Deptt with state of art equipment is available with latest Cardiac catheterization Unit, Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA), Echocardiography, Stress test (TMT), etc. Cardiac diagnostic and therapeutic procedures like angiography, angioplasty, pacing, etc. are being done by a team of experts headed by senior cardiologists at very nominal rates. 

b) Gastroenterology: A facility for all gastroenterology procedures like endoscopy, colonoscopy, stent placements, and all gastrointestinal interventions is available under a team of experts headed by senior gastroenterologists.

 c) Urology: Facility for all urology Procedures like TURP, PCNL, URS, LASER removal of stones, and all other interventional procedures are available with a team of experienced Urologists & technical staff.

 d) Neurosurgery: We have a team of experienced neurosurgeons in our hospital with separate OT for Neurosurgery to perform all types of Spine Surgeries, Brain tumors, Trauma, Pediatric, and other neurosurgical procedures. The department of neurosurgery also runs a pain clinic.

 e) Pediatric Surgery: Pediatric surgeons are available in our Hospital to perform all types of pediatric surgeries such as hernia, hydrocele, congenital birth defects repair, all pediatric abdominal, urological, thoracic, and neuro-spinal surgeries. 

f) Radiotherapy and Oncology: Chemotherapy facilities with separate wards are available for cancer patients at a nominal rate. State-of-the-art machines like linear accelerator, CT Simulator, and brachytherapy are available for all types of radiotherapy under the supervision and guidance of a senior Radiation Oncologist.

 g) Cardiothoracic and vascular surgery: Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgery department is performing all cardiac by-pass surgeries, valvular surgeries, pediatric cardiac surgeries, and all vascular surgeries. 

h) Nephrology and Dialysis: Nephrology facilities with a dialysis unit under care of a senior 

i) Plastic Surgery: Facilities for plastic Surgery with a Burns Unit under the care of a senior consultant.

 j) Rheumatology: A senior Rheumatologist is available for rheumatological consultations. 

k) Oncosurgery: Oncosurgery Facilities are available for cancer patients.

UHTC

Urban Health Centre: Health center provides comprehensive promotive, preventive, and curative health services. It provides OPD services, specialist services, free drug services, immunization, lab test, and an X-ray facility. 

RHTC

Rural Health Centres rural health training centers at Basal, Nainatikkar&Shamti is a component of the primary health care system for NHM programs.It is set up under implement of the NHM Phase II program. The services provided under RHTC are Family Planning, ANC Services, Immunization Services.

    Maharishi Markandeshwar Institute Of Medical Sciences & Research, Mullana NEETPG  Counseling is conducted by MCC (Medical Counselling Committee)

    MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) COUNSELING PROCESS:-

    The MCC/DGHS conducts Counseling for allotment of Post Graduate (MD/MS/Diploma and MDS) seats to the NEETPG/MDS eligible and qualified candidates in participating Government Medical/Dental Colleges of the country under 50% All India Quota and 100% Central & Deemed University quota every year. All the candidates who have qualified for All India Quota seats on the basis of their rank in NEET PG /MDS conducted by NBE including candidates from Union Territory of J&K will be eligible. The role of MCC of DGHS is limited to allotment of seats to the participating candidates, as per their merit and choice, which starts only after receiving the list/data/Information of successful candidates from National Board of Examinations (NBE) i.e. the NEET (PG) examination conducting body 

    Candidates who fall under the category of NRI as per the directions/ orders of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in the case (W.P. No. 689/2017- Consortium of Deemed Universities in Karnataka (CODEUNIK) & Anr. Vs. Union of India &Ors.) dated 22-08- 2017 are eligible for NRI Category seats. OCI/PIO/Foreign Nationals will be eligible for only NRI seats .The eligible Indian National Candidates wanting to get converted to sponsored NRI category have to submit the  documents as and when the same are called for by the MCC.

    Step Wise Counseling Process conducted by MCC

                   There are four rounds of counselling i.e. Round 1, Round 2, Mop- Up Round & Stray Vacancy Round. Out of the four rounds for Deemed Universities, 03 rounds are conducted online by MCC i.e. Round 1, Round 2 and Mop-Up Round. The Stray Vacancy round is conducted physically by the Deemed Universities for which the list of registered & eligible Candidates is forwarded by MCC to the respective Deemed Universities. The allotment shall only be in terms of merit

    • Final Stray Vacancy Round to be conducted by Deemed/ Central Universities (There will be no Fresh Registration of Candidates in Final Stray Vacancy Round)
    • List of ten times (of the registered candidates) of number of Stray vacancies to be sent to Deemed / Central Universities to be exhausted strictly in order of merit.
    • For Deemed Universities the Stray Vacancy Round will be conducted by the respective Deemed University
    • Eligible candidates who are not holding any seat can participate in Stray Vacancy Round
