About College

The Rural Medical College, Loni, run by Pravara Medical Trust is Established in the year 1984. The campus houses a medical college with 200 MBBS annual admissions and  Post Graduate Courses in 17 departments. The college is recognized by the Govt. of India and the National Medical Commission (NMC)  and is affiliated with affiliated to Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed University), Ahmednagar. The lush green campus of the University is spread over an area of 120 Acres, on Manmad – Nashik State Highway. The campus is beautifully planned and landscaped from a utility and aesthetic point of view. The spacious environment has earned the distinction of being one of the best medical complexes in the country. Unitary Campus for hospital and college.

Lecture Theatres: Six (06) Lecture Hall in college with good acoustics, Audiovisual aids & Microphone two with 240 student capacity (Gallery type), One with 350 students capacity (gallery type), One with 500 students capacity (gallery type), Two with 184 students capacity (gallery type), One lecture hall in Hospital with 300 students capacity (Gallery Type) with good acoustics, Audiovisual aids & Microphone. Auditorium with a capacity of 1200 with central AC & balcony.

Examination Halls: 03, Two with a total seating capacity of 250 students, One with a seating capacity of 400 Students.

55 demonstration Rooms / Clinical Demonstration Rooms ,Nine (9) of pre-clinical department ,Fifteen (15) of Para-clinical departments ,Thirty One (31) 31 of Clinical Departments. Common Room: With 200 sq. meters area for girls and boys separately with attached toilet .Central Library: Spacious Reading rooms with a sitting capacity of 350 students, well lighted and ventilated

 The College has separate hostels for girls and boys with round-the-clock security arrangements, each hostel has separate dining rooms, recreation rooms, and study rooms. 

Recreation Facilities: Outdoor - Lawn tennis court, Basketball court, volleyball, Football, Cricket ground, swimming pool of Olympic standard, Indoor - Chess, Carrom, Badminton court, Table tennis, and Modern Gymnasium.

Pravara Rural Hospital - Service to Rural People

Pravara Rural Hospital is a 1275 bed multi-disciplinary, modern super-speciality state-of-the-art teaching hospital. . A full-fledged scientifically designed outpatient complex for all departments with adequate waiting space for patients and attendants. An Emergency wing designed and equipped to deal with all cases of casualties, trauma, accident, and medical emergencies. 

The radiology department is provided with provides sophisticated diagnostic and therapeutic facilities like Ultrasonography, Colour Doppler, CT Scan, MRI, Digital X-ray, Cardiac Monitors, The Blood Bank of the Hospital is equipped with state of art equipment to perform routine and special investigations including HIV test (Elisa reader), and fractionation of blood to prepare blood components.

Major as well as specialized surgeries including pediatric Cardio-thoracic, Cardiothoracic, Neurology, Urology, Laprascopic, Spinal, Micro Laryngeal, Facio Maxillary, Reconstructive and replacement surgeries are performed in a centrally air-conditioned Operation Theatre Complex equipped with excellent operating and monitoring facilities, houses eight operation theatres.

The intensive care unit is well equipped with state-of-art monitoring and life support systems for the care of the critically ill. Intensive CCU: A six bedded CCU equipped with latest of the ventilators, multipara monitors, external cardiac pacemaker, and 24 hrs continuous Holter ECG monitoring facilities, Caters for the needs of critically ill cardiac patients.

With a footfall of over 5+ lakh outpatients and 40000 inpatients every year, With 70 to 80% occupancy, it provides an excellent range of clinical Experience to undergraduate(UG) and post-graduate (PG) students and researchers. The Institute has OPD clinics in all the specialities running on all working days.

Out-reach Activities

The Hospital organizes regular multi- diagnostic and treatment camps in remote, needy villages as a part of the OutReach Programme to provide free health services at the doorstep. In addition to these, separate speciality wise camps are also organized regularly.

Health check-up of school children, primary health care to slum dwellers and visits to Primary Health as well as Sub centres by the hospital staff is part of their routine duties.

Rural Medical College, Loni, NEETPG  Counseling is conducted by MCC (Medical Counselling Committee)

MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) COUNSELING PROCESS:-

The MCC/DGHS conducts Counseling for allotment of Post Graduate (MD/MS/Diploma and MDS) seats to the NEETPG/MDS eligible and qualified candidates in participating Government Medical/Dental Colleges of the country under 50% All India Quota and 100% Central & Deemed University quota every year. All the candidates who have qualified for All India Quota seats on the basis of their rank in NEET PG /MDS conducted by NBE including candidates from Union Territory of J&K will be eligible. The role of MCC of DGHS is limited to allotment of seats to the participating candidates, as per their merit and choice, which starts only after receiving the list/data/Information of successful candidates from National Board of Examinations (NBE) i.e. the NEET (PG) examination conducting body 

Candidates who fall under the category of NRI as per the directions/ orders of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in the case (W.P. No. 689/2017- Consortium of Deemed Universities in Karnataka (CODEUNIK) & Anr. Vs. Union of India &Ors.) dated 22-08- 2017 are eligible for NRI Category seats. OCI/PIO/Foreign Nationals will be eligible for only NRI seats .The eligible Indian National Candidates wanting to get converted to sponsored NRI category have to submit the  documents as and when the same are called for by the MCC

Step Wise Counseling Process conducted by MCC

 There are multiple rounds of counselling i.e. Round 1, Round 2,  Round 3 & Stray Vacancy Round. ALL four rounds of AIQ, Deemed University, Central University/Institutes, DNB,  are conducted by MCC  through ONLINE ONLY i.e., Round 1, Round 2 , Round 3, and Stray Vacancy round. In the YEAR 2022–23 (Round 3) was called the Mop-Up round, where there was no sliding (upgradation) from the 2nd round to the mop-up round, but in 2023–2024, there was an upgradation from ROUND 2 to Round 3. In 2023-2024 Stray Vacancy Round was ONLINE, but in 2022-23 Stray Vacancy Round is conducted physically by the Deemed Universities for which the list of registered & eligible Candidates is forwarded by MCC to the respective Deemed Universities. The allotment shall only be in terms of merit. As per the directions issued by Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in SLA(C) No. 10487 of 2021, the AIQ scheme has been modified and 04 rounds of AIQ counselling will be conducted by MCC of DGHS, MoHFW. Hence, 3rd round (earlier mop-up round) and fourth round i.e. stray vacancy round will be conducted in AIQ from 2021-22 onwards.

  1. “Satisfied with the allotted seat and candidate is willing to report to the allotted college, not interested in further allotment of seats in any subsequent round for any discipline”.

  3. The candidate is not satisfied with the present allotment and wishes to participate in the next round of counselling. The previously allotted seat is forfeited and offered to the next eligible candidate
  4. Not satisfied with MCC allotted seat and candidate has got seat elsewhere, so candidate is quitting and not to be considered for allotment of seats in any of the further rounds
