Sree Balaji Dental College & Hospital, SBDMCH was established in 1989-90, affiliated to Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research BIHER (Deemed to be University) is approved by the Dental Council of India, Govt. of India,State govt of Tamil Nadu.Sree Balaji Dental College & Hospital, is ranked 29 in dental category of NIRF- 2022 and Ranked No 22 in  NIRF- 2021 among 300+ private and public dental schools by the government of India.

The Dental College has excellent infrastructure with over 1,75,000 sft. of built up area and is the largest of its kind in Tamil Nadu.

Sree Balaji Dental College & Hospital equipped with over 250+  dental chairs .Every student has an uninterrupted working area yet closely monitored by the faculties across all the dental specialties in every clinic.It has well equipped state-of-the-art library, modern clinical departments and pre-clinical and clinical laboratories.

 Every laboratory and every speciality owns advanced equipments. It ranges from RVG [radiovisuography] ,Satellac X ray unit ,Microsurgical operatory with dental operating microscope,Gutta flow – obturation system,Thermafil obturation unit,Digital OPG,CAD-CAM, BPS unit,Hard tissue microtome, frozen sectioning unit, linear accelerator, T-scan and so on.....

 Sree Balaji Dental College & Hospital  conducts frequent dental health camps for educating, motivating and treating the general public, especially the rural population, so as to improve their oral hygiene and health status. Research Centre in Medical Human Genetics & COCPAR : Centre Of Excellence For Oral Cancer Prevention Awareness & Research are the specialty Research centers of Sree Balaji Dental College & Hospital which houses state of the art research facility

Library Facilities

Sree Balaji Dental College & Hospital,  SBDMCH Central Library centrally air conditioned, well-lit, aesthetically designed library proofed with fire alarms, one gets into an atmosphere for serious intellectual work. Any member of SBDMCH has free access to a rich collection of more than 18138books, 160 journals, and over 7200 back issues at any time between 8.a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays and 8.a.m. to 8 p.m.on holidays.

Sports Facilities

Playgrounds with well maintained courts for Volley Ball, Basket Ball, and cricket are available. Courts for indoor games like Shuttle and Table Tennis are also available.

Hostel Facilities

Sree Balaji Dental College & Hospital has separate hostels for boys and girls with well furnished rooms and modern amenities. The overall atmosphere is very conducive for the students to concentrate on studies. A state- of – the- art kitchen and spacious dining area has been provided for both the hostels. Generators have been provided as power back up.Round-the-clock security, communication, dispensary facilities are also available Wi-Fi enabled hostels.

The Girls Hostel

The girls hostel is with in the campus and houses 1024 with a capacity of 1192 with 500 rooms. Different rooms accommodating 2 per room, 3 per room with attached toilets as well as A.C. rooms are also available. Suite rooms with modern furniture and separate study room are also available.

The Boys Hostel

It is a short walk from the university accommodating 1957 students with a capacity of 2040 with 780 rooms. Different rooms accommodating 2 per room, 3 per room with attached toilets as well as A.C. rooms are also available.

    Sree Balaji Dental College & Hospital, MDS (Master Degrees in Dental Sciences ) Counseling is conducted by MCC (Medical Counselling Committee)

    MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) COUNSELING PROCESS:-

    The MCC/DGHS conducts Counseling for allotment of Post Graduate (MD/MS/Diploma and MDS) seats to the NEETPG/MDS eligible and qualified candidates in participating Government Medical/Dental Colleges of the country under 50% All India Quota and 100% Central & Deemed University quota every year. All the candidates who have qualified for All India Quota seats on the basis of their rank in NEET PG /MDS conducted by NBE including candidates from Union Territory of J&K will be eligible. The role of MCC of DGHS is limited to allotment of seats to the participating candidates, as per their merit and choice, which starts only after receiving the list/data/Information of successful candidates from National Board of Examinations (NBE) i.e. the NEET (MDS) examination conducting body 

    Candidates who fall under the category of NRI as per the directions/ orders of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in the case (W.P. No. 689/2017- Consortium of Deemed Universities in Karnataka (CODEUNIK) & Anr. Vs. Union of India &Ors.) dated 22-08- 2017 are eligible for NRI Category seats. OCI/PIO/Foreign Nationals will be eligible for only NRI seats .The eligible Indian National Candidates wanting to get converted to sponsored NRI category have to submit the  documents as and when the same are called for by the MCC.

    Step Wise Counseling Process conducted by MCC

                   There are four rounds of counselling i.e. Round 1, Round 2, Mop- Up Round & Stray Vacancy Round. Out of the four rounds for Deemed Universities, 03 rounds are conducted online by MCC i.e. Round 1, Round 2 and Mop-Up Round. The Stray Vacancy round is conducted physically by the Deemed Universities for which the list of registered & eligible Candidates is forwarded by MCC to the respective Deemed Universities. The allotment shall only be in terms of merit

    3. The candidate is not satisfied with the present allotment and wishes to participate in the next round of counselling. The previously allotted seat is forfeited and offered to the next eligible candidate
    4. Not satisfied with MCC allotted seat and candidate has got seat elsewhere, so candidate is quitting and not to be considered for allotment of seats in any of the further rounds

    2nd Round :- (AIQ, Deemed University, Central University/Institutes, DNB)

    Fresh Registration for Mop-up Round (not required for earlier resigned candidates)

    • Notification for counseling process
    • NRI application with appropriate documents to be mailed for opening NRI portal ([email protected])
    • Registration fee varies as per the Filling of application form for-AIQ, Deemed, CU, DU, Central Institutes, AFMS

    • There will be no choice filling in Stray Vacancy Round. The choices filled during Mop-Up round will be considered for allotment in Stray Vacancy Round.
    • Allotment of seats ‘Online’ by running software
    • Eligible candidates who are not holding any seat can participate in Stray Vacancy Round

    Stray vacancies:- (DEEMED)

    • Final Stray Vacancy Round to be conducted by Deemed/ Central Universities (There will be no Fresh Registration of Candidates in Final Stray Vacancy Round)
    • List of ten times (of the registered candidates) of number of Stray vacancies to be sent to Deemed / Central Universities to be exhausted strictly in order of merit.
    • For Deemed Universities the Stray Vacancy Round will be conducted by the respective Deemed University
    • Eligible candidates who are not holding any seat can participate in Stray Vacancy Round
