Buddha institute of Dental Sciences and Hospital BIDSH , is a Private College, Established in the year of 1985. The College is affiliated to the Magadh University, Bihar and recognized by Dental Council of India and Govt of India with the annual intake of 100 seats in BDS and 44 seats in various streams of Postgraduate Dental Sciences. BIDSH is the oldest private Dental College of the Eastern Northern India.

Classes are equipped by smart boards with brod band Internet & latest Multimedia Including high resolution projectors and audio visual system. Auditorium of 120 seating capacity. Separate hostel for & girls are available as per the subject of availability. The girls hostel is situated with in the campus whereas boys hostel is in the another building of the institute. Which is approx. 1 km from the main campus. Indoor and out door sports facilty

The Central Library and Information Centre of the institution has been functioning since the inception of the college in the year 1985. At present it is housed in the 7th floor of the college building. Being in the top floor of the building, it has highly ventilated with natural breeze and sunlight. Library has all the basic amenities like drinking water, coffee wending machine, scanning & printing, photocopying facility, display boards, uninterrupted power supply, Internet and A/C for P.G. The hospital is well equipped with more than 350 dental chairs and has well maintained laboratory with all the latest equipment. At BIDSH we see an average of 400+ patients per day, which comes to an approximate of two lakh patients per year.It is attached with the Jagdish Memorial Hospital for clinical practice.

There are specialists from various fields of dentistry including Orthodontists, Prosthodontics, Oral Radiologists, Periodontists, Endodontists, Public Health Dentists, Oral Pathologists, and Pedodontists. The hospital offers many facilities to the patients under one roof , such as IOPA X-RAY, RVG, CBCT, Digital OPG, Lateral Ceph, General Radiograph, well equipped silicone lab, casting and ceramics lab, exquisite laboratory for CAD-CAM, Dental operating microscope & rotatory Endomotor. Hospital also has well equipped hematology & histopathology lab for routing blood investigation & diagnosis. The hospital also conducts free dental screening camps, throughout the city
