CMR Institute of Medical Sciences was established in 2023 with the vision of delivering high-quality medical education, advanced clinical training, and compassionate healthcare services in Telangana. Located in Kandlakoya near Medchal Road and closely connected to Warangal and Hyderabad, the institution is part of the well-known CMR Group of Institutions and has quickly emerged as one of the newest private medical colleges in the state. The college is affiliated with Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Warangal and is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC). It currently offers the MBBS program with an annual intake of 150 students and follows the competency-based medical education curriculum prescribed by national standards.

The attached teaching hospital, CMR Hospital, is a major multi-specialty healthcare center that provides extensive hands-on clinical exposure to students. The hospital currently has more than 350 beds, with plans and infrastructure expanding toward a 900-bed teaching hospital. It offers comprehensive healthcare services in general medicine, general surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, ENT, ophthalmology, dermatology, emergency medicine, and other specialties. The hospital is equipped with modern operation theatres, advanced diagnostic laboratories, imaging facilities, intensive care units, critical care services, blood bank, pharmacy, and emergency and trauma care units. The large patient inflow from Medchal–Malkajgiri district and northern Telangana provides students with strong clinical exposure through OPD services, ward postings, emergency care, surgeries, and community outreach activities.

Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences is Conducting Counselling for all Government and Private Colleges in Telangana.

The KNRUHS conduct the separate counselling for state Government Medical and State management quota seats. The counselling will be organized through online mode in which candidates have to exercise their web options.

RESERVATION IN FAVOUR OF THE LOCAL CANDIDATES

Admission to 85% of the seats shall be reserved in favour of the local candidates in relation to the local area as provided in A.P. Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) order, 1974 for Non- State-Wide courses as given in Annexure-III of GO (P) No. 646, Edu. (W1) Department, dt.10-7-1979.

RESERVATIONS:

• 15%, 6%, 29% seats of Post Graduate Dental Degree MDS Courses are reserved for SC, ST and BC (BC-A-7%, BC-B-10%, BC-C-1%, BC- D-7% and BC-E4%) candidates respectively, which are called vertical reservations.
• 33 1/3% of seats shall be reserved for women and 5%seats shall be reserved for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates respectively, which are horizontal reservations for Post Graduate Degree Courses.

• Candidate has completed MBBS / BDS from that institution
• Candidate is an employee of that institution
• Candidate is the son / daughter of employee of that institution
