S.J.M. Dental College & Hospital

SJM Dental College and Hospital, Chitradurga is one of the prime institutions of SJM Vidyapeetha. It was established in the year 1986 for the purpose of taking professional Health Science Education to the doors of desirous students in Central Karnataka in particular and across the country in general. SJM Dental College and Hospital is an affiliated college of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangaluru. The program followed in the college is a 4 years BDS course with one year of mandatory rotating internship. The college and the program are recognized by the Dental Council of India. The annual intake of students permitted by the University and approved by the DCI is 60.

• Option entry (whereas in 2022 it was offline counseling and in 2023 it was online counseling with a caution deposit of 3 lakhs for medical students and 2 lakhs for dental students to participate in the MOP-UP Round)

Stray vacancy round:

• Fresh registration was allowed for the candidates who hadn't registered in the subsequent rounds.

• In 2022, the institutional mop-up round of counseling will fill the vacant seats or remain unfilled seats after a mop-up round of KEA counseling. This round is conducted by colleges to fill the left-over seats. A list of the registered candidates' names for stray vacancies will be sent to private colleges to be exhausted strictly in order of merit.
