       Yenepoya Dental College is a professional College with more than 25 years of rich experience which is  committed to enabling its Students to achieve and maintain excellence in practice and patient care. Established in 1992-93, the Yenepoya Dental College is recognized by the Dental Council of India for undergraduate and postgraduate courses . Ranked No 23 college in the dental category of NIRF- 2022 and Ranked No 21 college in the dental category  NIRF- 2021. It is a constituent college of Yenepoya University (Deemed to be University u/s 3 of the UGC Act, 1956). Yenepoya University  established  In 1991, by the Islamic Academy of education, a not-for-profit trust committed to the upliftment of minorities in general and Muslims in particular, was established by entrepreneur Mr. Yenepoya Abdulla Kunhi as its Chairman. .The Faculty of Yenepoya Dental College is committed to innovative teaching, research and quality care within its oral healthcare services.

There are 3 Lecture Halls with seating capacity of with 180 students (Gallery type), all located at the 2nd Basement of the Yenepoya Dental College . The Lecture Halls are provided with excellent seating arrangements and latest audio visual equipments. The dental college also has an auditorium hall at the 5th floor of the building, provided with excellent seating arrangements of 300 capacity, Audio visual aids and sound amplification system. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled. With teachings oriented towards leading-edge technology, the Faculty also provides quality ongoing training which allows Students  to meet their occupational requirements, in partnership with the industry.

Peripheral Health Centre

Comprehensive oral health care services are provided at our 5 peripheral centers for the general public. PHC are fully equipped for cases such as: Oral prophylaxis, Restorations, Root canal treatment, surgical extractions and Oral Cancer screening.

Library

The College has a modern library with world class interior, with the intention of creating excellent library atmosphere, ambiance, which is well equipped with a large number of books and various national and international journals.Library has all the basic amenities like drinking water, coffee wending machine, scanning & printing, photocopying facility, display boards, uninterrupted power supply, Internet and  P.G. Section

Hostels

Yenepoya Deemed to be University which houses 13 hostels in the pristine surroundings of Deralakatte, Mangalore offers world class facilities to its students. Separate hostels are provided for both men and women.

Zuleka Ladies Hostel, Gardyenia ‘B’ Block, Gardyenia ‘C’ Block, Ayesha1, Ayesha 2  and Tech Bay Mphasis( Jeppu) Hostels are for the female students whereas YMK1 Boys Hostel, YMK New  Boys Hostel, Gardyenia ‘A’ Block, Fathima Hostel, BRU Hostel, Hassan Chambers  and Tech bay Mphasis(Jeppu) Hostels are for male students of the University.

All the Hostel rooms are furnished and equipped with basic amenities.PG hostels are air-conditioned, whereas, in UG hostels, air conditioned rooms are provided as per the personal request. The Hostels have attached dining halls, TV rooms, Wi-Fi facilities, RO drinking water, and gymnasium and laundry facilities. The hostels have a food Kiosk and coffee shop which is open till midnight. There are two recreation halls (one each for boys and girls) where students can watch TV. Students also have access to indoor games, snooker and table tennis in ‘Yendurance zone’

    Yenepoya Dental College MDS (Master Degrees in Dental Sciences ) Counseling is conducted by MCC (Medical Counselling Committee)

    MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) COUNSELING PROCESS:-

    The MCC/DGHS conducts Counseling for allotment of Post Graduate (MD/MS/Diploma and MDS) seats to the NEETPG/MDS eligible and qualified candidates in participating Government Medical/Dental Colleges of the country under 50% All India Quota and 100% Central & Deemed University quota every year. All the candidates who have qualified for All India Quota seats on the basis of their rank in NEET PG /MDS conducted by NBE including candidates from Union Territory of J&K will be eligible. The role of MCC of DGHS is limited to allotment of seats to the participating candidates, as per their merit and choice, which starts only after receiving the list/data/Information of successful candidates from National Board of Examinations (NBE) i.e. the NEET (MDS) examination conducting body 

    Candidates who fall under the category of NRI as per the directions/ orders of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in the case (W.P. No. 689/2017- Consortium of Deemed Universities in Karnataka (CODEUNIK) & Anr. Vs. Union of India &Ors.) dated 22-08- 2017 are eligible for NRI Category seats. OCI/PIO/Foreign Nationals will be eligible for only NRI seats .The eligible Indian National Candidates wanting to get converted to sponsored NRI category have to submit the  documents as and when the same are called for by the MCC.

    Step Wise Counseling Process conducted by MCC

                   There are four rounds of counselling i.e. Round 1, Round 2, Mop- Up Round & Stray Vacancy Round. Out of the four rounds for Deemed Universities, 03 rounds are conducted online by MCC i.e. Round 1, Round 2 and Mop-Up Round. The Stray Vacancy round is conducted physically by the Deemed Universities for which the list of registered & eligible Candidates is forwarded by MCC to the respective Deemed Universities. The allotment shall only be in terms of merit

    2. The candidate is satisfied with the allotted seat but wishes to participate in the next round. Such candidates should pay the prescribed fees
    3. The candidate is not satisfied with the present allotment and wishes to participate in the next round of counselling. The previously allotted seat is forfeited and offered to the next eligible candidate
    4. Not satisfied with MCC allotted seat and candidate has got seat elsewhere, so candidate is quitting and not to be considered for allotment of seats in any of the further rounds

    2nd Round :- (AIQ, Deemed University, Central University/Institutes, DNB)

    Fresh Registration for Mop-up Round (not required for earlier resigned candidates)

    • Notification for counseling process
    • NRI application with appropriate documents to be mailed for opening NRI portal ([email protected])
    • Registration fee varies as per the Filling of application form for-AIQ, Deemed, CU, DU, Central Institutes, AFMS
    • Seat matrix display

    • All allotted students must download the allotment letter
    • If Allotted (No Free Exit)(Exit With Forfeiture of Fees )(No Upgradation For Next Round)
    • Reporting at the Medical Institutions/university against 2nd Round (candidates once joined the allotted seat against 2nd Round are not allowed to vacate the seat)

    Mop Up Round (Final Round) :- (AIQ, Deemed University, Central University/Institutes, DNB)

    • There will be no Fresh Registration of Candidates in Final Stray Vacancy Round.
    • There will be no choice filling in Stray Vacancy Round. The choices filled during Mop-Up round will be considered for allotment in Stray Vacancy Round.
    • Allotment of seats ‘Online’ by running software
    • Eligible candidates who are not holding any seat can participate in Stray Vacancy Round

    Stray vacancies:- (DEEMED)

    • Final Stray Vacancy Round to be conducted by Deemed/ Central Universities (There will be no Fresh Registration of Candidates in Final Stray Vacancy Round)
    • List of ten times (of the registered candidates) of number of Stray vacancies to be sent to Deemed / Central Universities to be exhausted strictly in order of merit.
    • For Deemed Universities the Stray Vacancy Round will be conducted by the respective Deemed University
    • Eligible candidates who are not holding any seat can participate in Stray Vacancy Round
