Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences (CIDS) has the approval of the Ministry of Health, GOI and the Dental Council of India and is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. Pre-eminence in dental education and research has always been CIDS prime focus. Towards achieving this goal we have formulated innovative teaching methodologies; skill enhancement and academic appraisal programs; and Research and Innovation Centre. KEA – Karnataka Examination Authority conducts counseling for Government Medical College (50% seats and another 50% will be conducted by MCC), 100% seat allotment in Private Universities and private Medical College ( includes Non-Minority, linguistic minority, and religious minority institutions), by KEA.

First Round:-

Second Round:-

• Fresh registration was allowed due to lowering the qualifying Percentile including in-service candidates, up to zero Percentile.

“NOTE: People who got allotted in 1st & 2nd Round are not allowed to participate in the mop-up round."

Mop Up Round:

• No Fresh Registration
• Deposit of documents, Document verification
• Caution deposit to KEA through online
• Option entry (whereas in 2022 it was offline counseling and in 2023 it was online counseling with a caution deposit of 3 lakhs for medical students and 2 lakhs for dental students to participate in the MOP-UP Round)
• Allotment & cut-off of the mop-up round

Stray vacancy round:

• Fresh registration was allowed for the candidates who hadn't registered in the subsequent rounds.

• In 2022, the institutional mop-up round of counseling will fill the vacant seats or remain unfilled seats after a mop-up round of KEA counseling. This round is conducted by colleges to fill the left-over seats. A list of the registered candidates' names for stray vacancies will be sent to private colleges to be exhausted strictly in order of merit.
